DIY Owl Halloween costume

I've finally finished Willow's first Halloween costume. The cape and apron are recycled from an old men's wool shirt from Old Navy and the feathers from scraps of cotton fabric.
I started out with a baby hat of Willows that kind of had pointy owl shaped ears and made a slightly larger version out of the main fabric. I then made a cape shape and simply added the two pieces together. I then lined the cape and finally added the feathers. It was all a little thrown together and made up as i went along.

I finally made a really simple apron shape dress with the left over fabric and added some stripy leggings to finish off the costume.

Now i just hope that madam will be in the mood to wear it on Halloween.

One lil' owl with last minute furry feet.
