Instagram

Thought i'd post a couple of my favourite photo's from my buddy Shannon. Instagram really makes everything look so rosy doesn't it? I just love that top shot of me holding her lil chicken Cordelia.

Storytelling

Willow wanted to tell me a story today while we were playing this afternoon. These were her two offerings word for word.

'Once upon a time there was a big fat chicken in a forest and he said 'hello my dear' and then he ran away from a big fat monster, who was really tall and a big giant. And then he got the chicken and ate him. And then he got sick and turned into a baby and the giant ate the melon instead of the baby. And then a big fat giant got mummy and then i saved her and that cheered you up. The end'

'Once upon a time there was a big fat tiger in the forest and he ate all of the balloons and the stars and the tiger ate the owl .And there was a big fat other tiger and a snake in my forest and they ate each other up. The end'

Cozy winter hood

I've been getting a bit bored and realized it was because i haven't made anything for a while. I fancied doing a small (quick) project, especially after the huge tent and time consuming flamingo costume, and so decided on a cozy winter hood from my 'oliver + s little things to sew' book. I already had a bunch of spare fleece and fake fur in my stash and got to work one evening.
It was so satisfying that over the next few evenings i ended up making 5 of these guys for the various babies/toddlers of friends back home. I hope they enjoy wearing them as much as i liked making them. Maybe this is the start of homemade gifts for everyone forever more.

Santa

Show us your teeth.
Willow asked for a pink shark face today at the Laika Santa event.

Willow meets Santa for the first time. She wasn't too keen to see him and when she eventully plucked up the courage (after 2 hours) he literally had one foot out the door. A family classic.
