Mount Hood

The Lamont's went for a little jolly to Mount Hood today, stopping off at Trillium Lake at the bottom and Timberline at the top. I'm not sure how long Mount Hood can hold onto it's last little strip of snow, as the weather forecasts a week of 90 degrees. It sure is strange seeing Willow decked out in shorts playing in the snow.

Nanny and Grandad went out on a sightseeing tour around the gorge today, so we hung out at the house awaiting their much anticipated return. When they did rock up Willow more than made up for their absence by cramming a whole day's worth of play into 2 crazy hours which was centered on the porch. The place that grandad thought he could get a few quiet minutes to himself. He should be so lucky.

Rose Gardens

The Lamont's have arrived and our first trip of the week was out to Kruger's Farm on Sauvie island for some berry picking and a nature walk. The weather was glorious and Willow picked out her favourite summer dress for the proceedings. Although pickings were a little slim on the strawberry and blueberry fronts, the raspberries were plump and ready to be had. I was more than happy with that. I am most definitely a raspberry kind of gal. We all had our fill, it was one in the tummy and one in the punnet.
