Yesterday our wednesday playgroup had a little excursion to Grant Park, which just so happened to be where the Rose Festival Junior Parade was happening. Apparently the Junior Parade is the nations biggest and oldest, with an official event celebrating children since 1936. There were over 100 community groups which included 32 big bands, baton twirlers and dancers, stilt walkers and unicyclists. The kids loved it, they were so mezmerized that they managed to stay put for over 2 hours.
