Fruit Pots

Our first attempt at growing our own food. The initial thought about a veggie garden felt a little intimidating for a novice so i thought i would start off small and see how it goes before committing to such a big project. So here we have our very own strawberry and raspberry pots.We should get our first crop in june if the bugs don't get em first.

Easter

What a glorious day for an Easter egg hunt, 65 degrees and still rising. Yes please that will do nicely. Out came last years bunny bag and we headed out to the hunting ground, the Swap Shop's back yard, with Lily and JP.

Yesterday

Tea Party Sundress

Oliver + S dress made from upcycled women's vintage skirt found in the dollar bin at my favourite second hand store The Village Merchant. The pattern was super easy so the dress turned out pretty good considering it was my first attempt at a piece of clothing. It even has the optional piping around the bodice, extra lining through the skirt and side pockets to boot. Not bad for a beginner. I think there my be a few more of these on the way. Willow has already requested a skull print version.

At the Park

Today was a good day to be with friends at the park. Lily, the first arrival, was soon followed by  Willow's school buddies, JP, Issac and Ellah for an afternoon playdate.

 This is the way our conversation goes every time i pick up Willow from school, so it's great to get a little insight into her day.

Superhero Saturday

Today was Superhero Celebration day at the children's museum so the dads, i mean the kids got to see some Star Wars costumes and make superhero capes and masks. Willow and Oliver had some daddy time and i spent the morning doing a little sewing. I made a start on trying to finish the Oliver + S Tea dress for Willow that i started about 4 months ago. 

 

Oh Deer

I saw this sweet little deer dress at StraightGrain and just had to make one for Willow. I've been keeping my eye out for a similar print and finally managed to find one on my first visit to Fabric Depot. This store is amazing, i can't believe i have only just found it. Bye Bye Joannes.

I'm thinking about either the Tea or Bubble dress by Oliver + S.

Swap

Today was my turn with the Dyson's at the Swap Shop. It seems like such a long time since i had Delia too what with one thing or another. So it was really nice to hang out with her today. Oh and the other two aren't bad either.
